Excerpt from "A Scandal in Bohemia", chamber opera in two acts by Nathalie Anderson and Thomas Whitman, after the story by A. Conan Doyle. This is a portion of the wedding scene from Act I. Sherlock Holmes, in disguise, discretely observes the wedding of Irene Adler and Godfrey Norton. The presiding Minister --- whose speech is marred by a nervous stammer --- discovers something amiss in the marriage license. Norton quickly asks Holmes to serve as a witness.
